Description:
Always wanted to learn programming? Have a great idea for a website? Meant for the programming novice, this highly interactive class will teach you the fundamentals of programming by building a web application. Students will learn HTML, CSS, Python, and the Django web framework. At the end of the class, students will have created a working, self-designed web application and have a good understanding of the basics of programming.
Class Goals:
Students will learn the basics of HTML, CSS, Python, and the Django web framework. Students will work toward a self-defined final website project.

A laptop computer. A limited number of public desktop computers will be available, but we encourage students to bring their own laptops.
Instructor Biography:
Glen Chiacchieri has been a professional web developer for 7 years, building websites in Python, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. He has built numerous personal and professional websites, including one to control a giant metal tank robot.
